1st Test – Headingley, Leeds (June 20–24)

First Test at Headingley

In a rare chase of 371, England prevailed by five wickets. India looked set with centuries from Gill and Pant, but England’s lower order held firm under pressure. Veteran Josh Tongue triggered India’s collapse by cleaning up their tail. England took a 1–0 lead.

2nd Test – Edgbaston, Birmingham (July 2–6)

Second Test at Edgbaston

India delivered their strongest Test win on English soil—by 336 runs. Captain Gill shone again with 269, his highest Test score, while Akash Deep claimed six wickets and Siraj supported with key strikes to bowl England out twice.

3rd Test – Lord’s, London (July 10–14)

Third Test at Lord's

A thriller went England’s way by just 22 runs. India’s Jadeja battled with a 61* rescue stand, but young pacer Shoaib Bashi sealed the win with the final wicket. England now lead 2–1.

4th Test – Old Trafford, Manchester (July 23–27)

England moved within sight of a series win by dominating to 544‑7, a lead of 186. Joe Root scored 150, moving into second place on the all‑time Test run‑scorers list. Ben Stokes contributed with both bat and ball, reinforcing England’s control. India’s Pant retired hurt early on, which disrupted their momentum.
